Sandy Mount House
The Sandy Mount House project involves the total renovation and extension of an existing landmark building. The objective is to create a new, modernized destination for Rhosneigr, Anglesey, designed to bring the community together and provide a service to support the success of a thriving seaside town.
Design Approach.
We began by creating a 3D computer model of the existing building, based on 2D survey information. This allowed efficient and accurate coordination with consultants, whilst providing realistic visualizations for the external appearance and internal spaces. We worked alongside the Client, Interior Designer and Structural Engineer, coordinating the design to explore different concepts of programme, layout and buildability. Acoustic consultants, project managers, quantity surveys and building control inspectors were consulted to refine the design and manage the successful delivery of the project.
Services Provided.
Buju Architects were appointed for RIBA Stages 0-7 as Architect and Principal Designer. From developing the concept design, through planning, tender and construction, we have coordinated the design process and managed correspondence with the Local Council.
