Located in Stockport, the Client of this project wanted to split up their land and build a new 3-bedroom house in their garden for their growing family.
We began by carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the site, giving us the chance to identify any design opportunities or constraints. Using a modern pallet of materials, our aim was to ensure that the new design will have a minimal effect on the surrounding neighbour’s views while being able to sit comfortability within its own context.
After exploring several concept options with the Client, we agreed upon a design that succeeded in meeting all their requirements. We then went on to further develop this design and produce all the required planning drawings.
During this stage, careful consideration was taken to ensure we accurately model the overall site and the surrounding buildings. This was achieved by inputting survey data into 3D modelling software; Autodesk Revit.
For this project, Buju Architects provided architectural services through Stages 0-3 of the RIBA plan of works.
After gaining planning permission from the council, we’re currently eagerly awaiting the go-ahead from the Client to begin the Stage 4: Technical Design phase.
